ART DUMP AHOY!
this is an assignment for drawing 1
we had to find a "masterpiece" from our "culture of origin" and do a piece in that style
i chose edvard munch's the scream cuz im norwegian and tied in concepts of janteloven [link] and the bøyg from peer gynt [link]øyg, its a lot of cerebral annoying art school hoo-ha but basically i personified the "us" from janteloven as the bøyg (as a hindrance to the individual and a sort of creepy, amorphous singular ego) and the rest is just copying munch style
huge norwegian geek-out (how typical mary) and somewhat personal because basically i really identify with that sort of jealousy im a big damn overachiever and im very neurotic and intense about my art and i always bring stuff into class and people kind of smile and roll their eyes at me like "oh that fucking showoff" and it HURTS ME LITTLE HART because im just trying to do the work i like, in the way i like doing it!

brush+ink on super big paper, prolly 36x60 or 36x50 inches or something? idk, i dont want to go measure it
